To mark World Meteorological Day (March 23), scientists, meteorologists, and disaster prevention experts gathered at the Generali Balloon of Paris to analyze trends in weather and climate risks and discuss ways to better protect the French public.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9t\u00e9o-France has officially joined the scientific partners of the Ballon Generali, reinforcing the site\u2019s role as a platform for observation and raising awareness of weather and climate issues.<\/p>\n

In 2025, France experienced a particularly hot year, with an average temperature of +2.5\u00b0C compared to the pre-industrial era (1850\u20131900), according to new data released by M\u00e9t\u00e9o-France.<\/p>\n

This key climate change metric is now displayed on the balloon\u2019s envelope, alongside global and European data provided by ECMWF-Copernicus, to raise visitor awareness through a concrete, local figure that makes the reality of global warming – often perceived as abstract – tangible.<\/p>\n

With this new partnership, the Generali Balloon of Paris stands out more than ever as a scientific and educational tool that measures and informs the public about air quality and climate change.<\/p>\n
