Always innovating
Aerophile S.A has a continuing challenge to improve the safety of the systems developed. For this reason a large investment is made by way of the research and development budget. This research activity has, after 15 years of good and loyal service, culminated in the tethered gas balloon AERO30 giving way to the captive gas balloon AERO30NG. With a bigger envelope measuring 23 metres in diameter, as opposed to the 22 metres of the older model, the balloon has an increased volume of helium and improved flight characteristics. In addition the mooring system has been totally re-thought with 8 anchor points as opposed to the 24 of the older system and the introduction of mooring tables. The mooring and operation of the tethered balloon has been greatly improved as a result. These innovations have obviously added to the on going improvements to the safety of flights.
Since 2004, AEROPHILE has developped the first balloon which can fly up to 70 km/h of wind speed: the AEROPHARE which has opened in October 2007 for the first time in a comercial center EVRY2 (France).
